Electromagnetic Lifting Magnet

Circular lifting magnets built for heavy lifting in harsh environments — a single-piece cast shell for maximum permeability, a great weight-to-lift ratio and rugged, moisture- and shock-resistant construction.

Single-piece cast shell 50–75% duty cycle Moisture & shock resistant

Overview

Durable circular magnets for the toughest duties

Saideep circular lifting magnets are built to work under harsh environments with excellent durability. The shell is cast as a single piece for maximum magnet permeability, and the units are designed to run at a 50–75% duty cycle with a great weight-to-lift capacity — making them dependable handling tools for foundries, scrap yards and steel plants.

Features

Engineered for permeability and wear

Single-piece cast shell

The shell is cast as a single piece for maximum magnet permeability and lift performance.

Manganese-steel bottom plate

A manganese steel bottom plate gives high wear resistance under repeated, abrasive handling.

Copper-wound coils

Copper-wound coils with ‘Class H’ insulation deliver strong, reliable magnetic pull.

High-alloy chain & shackles

High-alloy chain assembly and shackles are rated for safe, heavy lifting.

Moisture & shock resistant

Sealed, robust construction stands up to moisture and the shocks of daily handling.

50–75% duty cycle

Designed for a 50–75% duty cycle with a great weight-to-lift ratio for continuous work.

Electromagnetic lifting magnet construction

Construction

Built around a cast single-piece shell

Every magnet starts from a shell cast as a single piece so the magnetic circuit is continuous and permeability is maximised. A manganese steel bottom plate protects the working face against wear, while copper-wound coils with ‘Class H’ insulation handle the heat of a 50–75% duty cycle.

For safe handling, the unit carries a high-alloy chain assembly and shackles, and the whole assembly is moisture- and shock-resistant for harsh foundry and scrap-yard conditions. Magnets are sized to your load and lift requirement.

Technical specifications

Circular lifting magnet range

Eight standard diameters from 710 mm to 1800 mm. Lifting capacities are given by load type, because a magnet lifts a solid billet very differently from broken scrap or turnings.

Performance varies with the specific operating conditions, so the capacities above must be treated as a reference only — actual lift may vary. Magnets run on a 230 V DC supply at a 50–75% duty cycle. Tell us your load type and duty and we will size the magnet for your application.

FAQs

Electromagnetic Lifting Magnet — common questions

Why is the shell cast as a single piece?
A single-piece cast shell keeps the magnetic circuit continuous, giving maximum magnet permeability and a stronger, more reliable lift than a fabricated shell.
What duty cycle do the magnets run at?
Our circular lifting magnets are designed to run at a 50–75% duty cycle with a great weight-to-lift capacity, suiting continuous handling duties.
How do they cope with harsh conditions?
They are built for harsh environments — a manganese steel wear plate, copper-wound coils with ‘Class H’ insulation, and moisture- and shock-resistant construction all add durability.
How do you size a lifting magnet?
Share the material, load weight and shape you need to lift and your duty cycle, and our engineers will recommend the right magnet, chain and shackle rating.
