Bullet Magnet
An in-line magnet for pneumatic conveying lines — an aerodynamic stainless steel nose cone diverts product across a rare-earth magnet face, capturing tramp iron without choking the line or disturbing flow velocity.
Overview
Tramp iron out of a pneumatic line, without slowing it down
The Saideep Bullet Magnet is aerodynamically shaped around a solid stainless steel nose cone, so it can be fitted anywhere in a pneumatic line system. The nose cone diverter and magnet assembly are designed to maintain a balanced flow through the housing, keeping line velocity uniform while ferrous contamination is pulled onto the magnet face. Fitted ahead of processing equipment and bulk load-out, it protects machinery from tramp metal damage and assures product purity. It is ideal for dilute-phase systems moving powder and granular flour, chemicals, plastics, foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and mineral materials.
Standard features
Built for in-line duty and fast cleaning
Stainless steel construction
The full housing and the solid nose cone are stainless steel, with a glass-bead surface finish.
Rare-earth magnetic element
A high-energy rare-earth element does the capture, so fine and weakly magnetic particles are held as well as bolts and nuts.
Horizontal or vertical
Units are available for horizontal or vertical installation, so the magnet fits the line rather than the line being re-routed.
Balanced flow through
The nose cone diverter maintains uniform velocity in line flow — no dead spots, no pressure penalty.
Very quick cleaning
The separator is specifically designed for quick and easy cleaning, holding production downtime to a minimum.
Guide strips inside
Internal guide strips direct the material onto the bullet face so the whole stream is presented to the magnet.
Working principle
The nose cone does the work
Material entering the housing meets a solid stainless steel nose cone. Guide strips within the bullet magnet direct the product onto the bullet face, where the rare-earth element holds any ferrous contamination while clean product carries on down the line. Because the cone and magnet assembly are shaped to keep flow balanced through the housing, line velocity stays uniform — the reason the unit suits dilute-phase pneumatic systems where a restriction would cause material to drop out. When it is time to clean, the design allows the captured metal to be cleared quickly, so a line stop is measured in minutes.
